The Irish Aid tent at the 2014 Ploughing Championship

Our staff are looking forward to meeting thousands of visitors in the Irish Aid tent at the Ploughing Championship next week!

A visit to the Irish Aid tent is a perfect way to learn more about the Government’s overseas aid programme, and the important work carried out in developing countries on behalf of the Irish people.

Lots of fun activities will be happening in the tent over the three days.

  • Win some great prizes by doing the Irish Aid quiz! Learn about the Irish Aid programme and win a prize if you get all the answers right. Don’t worry, there are only ten questions and the answers can be found on the posters in our tent.
  • Join in one of our Drumming workshops! Learn how to play a wide variety of African drums with our brilliant drumming teacher.
  • Bring the kids to our Children’s Area with mask-colouring and craft-making! Learn a bit about African culture while colouring in an African mask or a khanga. What’s a khanga? Come to the tent and find out!
  • Questions Questions Questions!  Please come with all your questions about the Irish Aid programme. Our staff would love to talk to you.

So call in, play some drums, win some prizes and learn about the Irish Aid programme!

How do you get to our tent? There’s a site map available here. We’re at Stand 370, Row 25.
